     Alexander Balfour was born on 30 November 1765.1 He was the son of James Balfour of Kilmany and Margaret Balfour.2 He married, firstly, Anne Balfour on 24 June 1794.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Alison on 2 June 1818.1 He married, thirdly, Margaret Stewart on 16 October 1826.1 He died on 8 November 1855 at age 89.1
     He held the office of Provost of Dundee between 1826 and 1828.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Angus.1 He lived at Airlie Lodge, Dundee, Angus, ScotlandG.1

Henry Balfour1
