     Sir Edward Green, 1st Bt. was born on 4 March 1831.1 He was the son of Edward Green and Mary Anne Ironside.2 He married Mary Lycett, daughter of William Edward Lycett, on 8 September 1858.1 He died on 30 March 1923 at age 92.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st West Yorkshire Yeomanry.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wakefield in 1874.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wakefield between 1885 and 1892.1 He was created 1st Baronet Green, of Wakefield, co. York and Ken Hill, co. Norfolk [U.K.] on 5 March 1886.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk in 1900.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1

     Mary Lycett was the daughter of William Edward Lycett.2 She married Sir Edward Green, 1st Bt., son of Edward Green and Mary Anne Ironside, on 8 September 1858.1 She died on 7 November 1902.1
     She lived Bowden.1 Her married name became Green.

     Francis Denis Lycett Green was born on 2 November 1893.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Lycett Green, 2nd Bt. and Ethel Mary Wilson.2 He died on 14 July 1959 at age 65, unmarried.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards.1
