     Sir Thomas Gerard was born circa 1512.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Gerard and Margery Trafford.2 He and Jane Legh were divorced in 1550.1 He married Jane Legh, daughter of Piers Legh and Margaret Tildesley, in 1536.3 He died in 1558.3
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1548.1 He lived at Bryn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Kingsley, Cheshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire between 1562 and 1567.1

     Jane Legh is the daughter of Piers Legh and Margaret Tildesley.2 She and Sir Thomas Gerard were divorced in 1550.1 She married Sir Thomas Gerard, son of Sir Thomas Gerard and Margery Trafford, in 1536.2 She died in 1575.2
     From 1536, her married name became Gerard.2

Sir Thomas Gerard1

     Sir Thomas Gerard was the son of Sir Thomas Gerard and Jane Legh.2 He married Elizabeth Port, daughter of Sir John Port.1 He died in September 1601.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1558.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire from 1566 to 1567.1 He was imprisoned in the Tower of London for plotting on behalf of Mary Queen of Scots, and was forced to make over his Bromley estate to his kinsman Sir Gilbert Gerard, Attorney General, and to mortgage his estates in Lancashire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Yorkshire.1 He lived at Bryn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Kingsley, Cheshire, EnglandG.1

     Sir Thomas Gerard, 1st Bt. was born in 1560.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Gerard and Elizabeth Port.2 He married, secondly, Mary Hawes, daughter of Sir James Hawes.1 He married, thirdly, Mary Dormer, daughter of Sir William Dormer and Dorothy Catesby.1 He married, firstly, Cecily Maney, daughter of Sir Walter Maney, in 1580.1 He died circa February 1620/21.1 He was buried on 16 February 1620/21.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool in 1597.1 He had returned to him the £1,000 fee he had paid for the baronetcy in consideration of the sufferings of his father Sir Thomas Gerard on behalf of Mary Queen of Scots.1 He was created 1st Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [England] on 22 May 1611.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire in 1614.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigan in 1621.1

     Sir Thomas Gerard, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Gerard, 1st Bt. and Cecily Maney.2 He married Frances Molyneux, daughter of Sir Richard Molyneux, 1st Bt. and Frances Gerard.1 He died on 15 May 1630.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa February 1620/21.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool in 1624.1
