Robert Worsley was the son of Sir Robert de Worsley and Alice Tyldesley.2 He married Elizabeth Gerard, daughter of Sir Thomas Gerard and Elizabeth Port.1 He died in 1605.1
In 1563 he bought Manor of Hovingham, but forced by debt to sell many of his ancestral estates in Lancashire.1 He was Keeper circa 1579 at Fleet Prison, Salford, Lancashire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Callington in 1589.1
