     Sir John Alexander Cumnock Forbes of Craigievar, 12th Bt. was born on 29 August 1927.¹ He is the son of Rear-Admiral Hon. Arthur Lionel Ochoncar Forbes-Sempill and Mary Cutting Holland Cummock.² He married, firstly, Penelope Margaret Anne Grey-Pennington, daughter of Arthur Gordon Grey-Pennington, in 1956.¹ He and Penelope Margaret Anne Grey-Pennington were divorced in 1963.¹ He married, secondly, Jane Carolyn Evans, daughter of Charles Gordon Evans, in 1966.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1945 and 1949 in the service of the Seaforth Highlanders.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He was director of the Garrick Theatre between 1951 and 1965.¹ He was Member of the Baillie Newton Stewart Town Council between 1965 and 1976.¹ He was director of The Cinema Newton Stewart between 1966 and 1994.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wigtownshire in 1978.¹ He was an equestrian photo-journalist.¹ He succeeded to the title of 12th Baronet Forbes, of Craigievar [N.S., 1630] in 1991.³ He lived in 2003 at Benevean, Kendoon, Dalry, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.¹

     Penelope Margaret Anne Grey-Pennington is the daughter of Arthur Gordon Grey-Pennington.² She married Sir John Alexander Cumnock Forbes of Craigievar, 12th Bt., son of Rear-Admiral Hon. Arthur Lionel Ochoncar Forbes-Sempill and Mary Cutting Holland Cummock, in 1956.¹ She and Sir John Alexander Cumnock Forbes of Craigievar, 12th Bt. were divorced in 1963.¹
      From 1956, her married name became Forbes.

     Doris Constance Miles was born on 22 February 1920 at Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand.¹ She married Terence de Courcy Lambert, son of Cyril de Courcy Lambert and Constance Mabel Allen, in 1940 at New Zealand.¹ She died on 27 April 1976 at age 56 at Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand.¹
      From 1940, her married name became Lambert.¹

     Evelyn Mary Frances Grant was born on 4 October 1910.² She is the daughter of Colonel Sir Arthur Grant of Monymusk, 10th Bt. and Evelyn Alice Lindsay Wood.^1,3 She married Maj.-Gen. Cecil Martin Fothergill Deakin on 18 September 1934.²
