Richard de Clare, 3rd Earl of Hertford was born circa 1153. He was the son of Roger de Clare, 2nd Earl of Hertford.1 He married Amice FitzRobert, daughter of William FitzRobert, 2nd Earl of Gloucester and Hawise de Beaumont, circa 1180.1 He and Amice FitzRobert were divorced in 1200. He died circa 28 November 1217.1
