     Lucia Aurora di Ramos was the daughter of Don Vicente di Ramos.² She married Maj.-Gen. Sir John Ramsay Slade, son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay, on 9 September 1871.¹ She died on 21 October 1872.¹
      From 9 September 1871, her married name became Slade.

     Victor Marcus Slade was born on 16 October 1872.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Ramsay Slade and Lucia Aurora di Ramos.² He died on 21 January 1873.¹

     Olivia Daly is the daughter of Matthew Daly.¹ She married James Dawson.¹
      Her married name became Dawson.¹

     Janet Little Wood was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Robert Blucher Wood.² She married Maj.-Gen. Sir John Ramsay Slade, son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay, on 7 November 1882.¹ She died on 17 June 1935.¹
      From 7 November 1882, her married name became Slade.

     Lucia Slade was born on 23 August 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Ramsay Slade and Janet Little Wood.² She married Sir Charles Murray Marling, son of Sir William Henry Marling, 2nd Bt. and Mary Emily Abraham, on 2 September 1909.¹ She died on 11 September 1927 at age 44.¹
      From 2 September 1909, her married name became Marling. She was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Sir William Henry Marling, 2nd Bt. was born on 1 July 1835.² He was the son of Sir Samuel Stephens Marling 1st Bt. and Margaret Williams Cartwright.³ He married Mary Emily Abraham on 2 May 1860.² He died on 19 October 1919 at age 84.²
     He was Chartered Accountant (C.A.) Glos.² He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Mon.² He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).² He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Marling. In 1888 High Sheriff.²

     James Harper graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).¹

     Arthur Maitland Slade was born on 27 November 1846.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay.² He died in 1847.¹

     Major Montagu Maule Slade was born on 16 January 1849.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay.² He died on 29 February 1884 at age 35 at El Teb, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 10th Hussars.¹ He fought in the Battle of El Teb on 29 February 1884.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Frederick George Slade was born on 17 December 1851.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay.² He married Emmeline Charlotte Delap Bond, daughter of Major Wadham Wyndham Bond, on 8 August 1885.¹ He died on 16 August 1910 at age 58.¹
     He fought in the Kaffir War in 1878.¹ He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.¹ He fought in the Transvaal Campaign in 1881.¹ He fought in the Egypt Campaign in 1882.¹ He fought in the Sudan Campaign in 1884.¹ He fought in the Mile Expedition between 1884 and 1885.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).¹ He was Inspector-General of the Royal Garrison Artillery at HQ between 1902 and 1906.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the service of the Royal Artillery.¹
