     Louisa Slade was born in 1837 at Barnes, Surrey, England.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Slade and Eleanor Frances McVeagh.³ She married Alan Cameron Bruce-Pryce, son of John Wyndham Bruce, on 15 July 1858.¹ She died on 11 June 1868.¹
      From 15 July 1858, her married name became Bruce-Pryce.

     John Wyndham Bruce is the son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce.¹

     Alan Cameron Bruce-Pryce was the son of John Wyndham Bruce.² He married Anna M. S. Maunsell.³ He married Louisa Slade, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Slade and Eleanor Frances McVeagh, on 15 July 1858.¹ He died in 1909.³
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹

     Major Charles George Slade was born on 30 September 1799.² He was the son of General Sir John Slade, 1st Bt. and Anna Eliza Dawson.³ He was baptised on 15 November 1799 at Melcombe Regis, Dorset, England.² He died on 10 February 1839 at age 39, without issue, at sea on the way home from India.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 3rd Light Dragoons.¹

     John Slade is the son of Henry Slade and Hannah Colmer.¹

     Anne Slade is the daughter of Henry Slade and Hannah Colmer.¹

     Charlotte Ramsay was born on 24 October 1821 at Berhampur, Bengal, India.² She was the daughter of Hon. Andrew Ramsay.³ She married Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade, son of General Sir John Slade, 1st Bt. and Anna Eliza Dawson, on 7 April 1842.¹ She died on 22 February 1909 at age 87.¹
      From 7 April 1842, her married name became Slade.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir John Ramsay Slade was born on 16 March 1843.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Marcus John Slade and Charlotte Ramsay.² He married, firstly, Lucia Aurora di Ramos, daughter of Don Vicente di Ramos, on 9 September 1871.¹ He married, secondly, Janet Little Wood, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Robert Blucher Wood, on 7 November 1882.¹ He died on 4 September 1913 at age 70.¹
     He was decorated with the award of the Knight, Order of St. Maurice and Lazarus of Italy.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Grand Officer, Order of the Crown of Italy.¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria.¹ He was Military Attaché to the Italian Campaign in Africa.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King Edward VII between 1901 and 1903.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King George V between 1905 and 1910.¹ He was Colonel Commandant of the Royal Artillery in 1912.¹
