Francis Mansel was baptised on 23 March 1578/79.2 He was the son of Sir Francis Mansel, 1st Bt. and Catharine Morgan.2 He died on 1 May 1665 at age 86.1

Catherine Morgan was the daughter of Rees Morgan.2 She married Richard Mansel, son of Sir Francis Mansel, 1st Bt. and Catharine Morgan, on 14 February 1612/13.1 She died on 27 January 1631/32.1
