     Alexander Macalister of Torrisdale married Mary Keith Elphinstone-Fleeming, daughter of Admiral Hon. Charles Elphinstone-Fleeming and Doña Catalina Paulina Alesandro de Jiminez, on 20 April 1843.1 He and Mary Keith Elphinstone-Fleeming were divorced in 1847.1

     Hon. Anne Elizabeth Elphinstone-Fleeming was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Charles Elphinstone-Fleeming and Doña Catalina Paulina Alesandro de Jiminez.2 She married William Cunninghame Bontine of Ardoch, son of R. C. Cunninghame Graham of Gartmore and Finlayston, on 12 June 1851.1 She died on 27 March 1925.1
     From 12 June 1851, her married name became Cunninghame Bontine.1 On 12 October 1860 she was granted by Royal Licence the rank of a Lord of Parliament's daughter.1
