Lt.-Col. Arthur Eardley-Wilmot was born on 6 June 1856.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Frederick Marow Eardley-Wilmot and Frances Augusta Pennington.2 He married Mary Blanche Sneyd-Kynnersley, daughter of Clement Thomas Sneyd-Kynnersley, on 2 April 1887.1 He died on 9 March 1940 at age 83.1
He fought in the Mahsud Waziri Expedition in 1881.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel in the Royal Field Artillery.1
