     From 1980, her married name became Newman.1

     Sir Geoffrey Robert Newman, 6th Bt. was born on 2 June 1947.2 He is the son of Sir Ralph Alured Newman, 5th Bt. and Ann Rosemary Hope-Morley.1,2 He married Mary Elizabeth Gibbs, daughter of Sir Martin St. John Valentine Gibbs and Mary Margaret Mitford, in 1980.3
     He was educated at Heatherdown School, Ascot, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Kelly College, Tavistock, Devon, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1967 and 1970 in the 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Newman, of Mamhead, co. Devon [U.K., 1836] on 20 July 1968.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1970 and 1979 in the SAS (TAVR).2 He was director of Blackpool Sands (Devon) Utilities.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)2 He lived in 2003 at Stoke Fleming, Dartmouth, Devon, England.2

Eion James Henry Merry and Jean Trefusis Crichton, on 27 October 1955.1 He died on 31 October 2004 at age 83.2
