     Hon. Robert Walpole was born on 3 May 1736.1 He was the son of Horatio Walpole, 1st Baron Walpole of Wolterton and Mary Magdalen Lombard. He married Diana Grosset, daughter of Walter Grosset, on 8 May 1780.1 He married, secondly, Sophia Stert, daughter of Richard Stert, on 10 May 1785. He died on 19 April 1810 at age 73, having by her had, with other issue:.2
     He was Clerk of PC, Envoy Extrdy and Minister Plen Portugal.1
