     Cecily Francis Giles was born in August 1861 at Somerset, England.¹ She was the daughter of Major James Giles and Isabella Francis Gaye.¹ She was baptised on 19 August 1861 at Minehead, Somerset, England.¹ She married Colonel William James Clarke.¹ She died on 6 December 1943 at age 82 at Durban, Natal, South Africa.¹
      Her married name became Clarke.¹

     Richard Turner is the son of John Turner and Sybelle (?).¹

     William Turner was born on 26 September 1750.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Turner, 2nd Bt. and Cassandra Leigh.² He died on 20 November 1819 at age 69.¹
     He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1767 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹

     Bevill Dryden is the son of Edward Dryden and Elizabeth Allen.² He married Mary Dubber, daughter of William Dubber.³

     Elizabeth Dryden was born on 18 July 1753.² She was the daughter of Bevill Dryden and Mary Dubber.³ She married, firstly, Sir John Dryden, 1st Bt., son of Sir Edward Turner, 2nd Bt. and Cassandra Leigh, on 14 May 1781.¹ She married, secondly, Godfrey Scholey after 1797.⁴ She died on 5 November 1824 at age 71.²
      From 14 May 1781, her married name became Turner. On 16 December 1791 her name was legally changed to Dryden.¹ From after 1797, her married name became Scholey.⁴

     Colonel William James Clarke was born on 16 January 1860 at Worth, Sussex, England.¹ He married Cecily Francis Giles, daughter of Major James Giles and Isabella Francis Gaye.¹ He died on 11 May 1936 at age 76 at Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa.¹
     He fought in the Battle of Isandhlawana in 1878.² He was with the Natal Mounted Police between March 1878 and 1905.² He fought in the Siege of Ladysmith.² He held the office of Chief Commissioner of the Natal Mounted Police between 1905 and 1913.² He was Officer-in-Charge of the 2nd South Africa Mounted Rifles Battalion between 1913 and 1917.² He fought in the First World War, in South West Africa, and was mentioned in despatches.² He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).¹ Between 1918 and 1919 he was involved in an MI5 mission to Russia to rescue the Romanovs.² He was decorated with the award of the Order of St. Stanislaus of Russia.¹

     Thomas de Neville was born in 1332 at Raby, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Ralph de Neville, 2nd Lord Neville and Alice Audley.¹ He died in 1361 at Villeneuve, France, from the plague.¹
     He was the Vicar at Patrick Brompton, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Erasmus Middleton married Ann Wilson.¹

     Anne Leigh is the daughter of Richard Leigh.¹ She married Thomas Archer, son of Sir Simon Archer and Anna Ferrers, in 1652.¹
      From 1652, her married name became Archer.¹

     Frances Howell was the daughter of Joseph Howell.² She married Sir Gregory Page-Turner, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Edward Turner, 2nd Bt. and Cassandra Leigh, on 2 January 1785.¹ She died on 12 February 1828.¹
      From 2 January 1785, her married name became Page-Turner.
