     John Valentine Dewar was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He was with the Royal Air Force between 1951 and 1953.1 He was a professional photographer.1 He lived in 2003 at Heatherhouse, Port Askaig, Isle of Islay, Argyllshire, Scotland.1
