     James David Ramsay Dewar was born on 22 September 1926.¹ He is the son of Rear-Admiral Alan Ramsay Dewar and Euphemia Valentine Graham Ford.² He married Thomasina Marshall Braidwood, daughter of Thomas Marshall Braidwood, on 3 December 1977.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Royal Navy.¹ He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was a sales administrator.¹ He lived in 2003 at Greenbrae, 6 Marine Road, Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland.¹

     Thomasina Marshall Braidwood was the daughter of Thomas Marshall Braidwood.² She married James David Ramsay Dewar, son of Rear-Admiral Alan Ramsay Dewar and Euphemia Valentine Graham Ford, on 3 December 1977.¹ She died on 21 February 1982, without issue.¹
      From 3 December 1977, her married name became Dewar.

     Alan Graham Dewar was born on 23 July 1929.¹ He is the son of Rear-Admiral Alan Ramsay Dewar and Euphemia Valentine Graham Ford.² He married Rachel Grizel Binnie Sanderson, daughter of Charles William Sanderson, on 23 November 1956.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He was with the Royal Army Service Corps in Palestine, Egypt and Cyrenaica between 1947 and 1949.¹ He graduated from East of Scotland School of Agriculture, Scotland, with a Diploma of Agriculture (Dip.Ag.).¹ He was a farmer between 1956 and 1984 at Hedderwick Hill, Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1995.¹ He lived in 2003 at Oakwood, Allanton, Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹

     Rachel Grizel Binnie Sanderson is the daughter of Charles William Sanderson.² She married Alan Graham Dewar, son of Rear-Admiral Alan Ramsay Dewar and Euphemia Valentine Graham Ford, on 23 November 1956.¹
     She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Agriculture).¹ From 23 November 1956, her married name became Dewar.

     Ramsay Michael Sanderson Dewar was born on 9 October 1962.¹ He is the son of Alan Graham Dewar and Rachel Grizel Binnie Sanderson.² He married Claire Abigail Gunner, daughter of Richard Gunner, on 29 June 2002.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He graduated from University of Wales, Wales, in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).¹ He was a farm manager.¹ He lived in 2003 at 6 Stowell Park, Yanworth, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹
