Sir Anthony Colclough was the son of Richard Colclough and Eleanor Draycote.2 He married Clare Agard, daughter of Rt. Hon. Francis Agard.1 He died on 9 December 1584.1
He lived at Bluerton, Staffordshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Woolstanton, Staffordshire, EnglandG.1 In 1540/41 he went to Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Queen Elizabeth I's Band of Puritans.1 He held the office of Military Governor of the County Wexford on 21 March 1559.1 On 27 August 1575 he was granted Tintern Abbey by in fee by Patent, following expiry of the lease held by Sir James Crofts.1 He was appointed Knight in 1582.1 He lived at Tintern Abbey, County Wexford, IrelandG.1
