     Major Harry Eastland Redman was born on 8 February 1880 at Brighton, Sussex, England.2 He was the son of Joseph Henry Redman and Ellen Carden.3,2 He married Mary Elizabeth Robina Cochrane, daughter of John Cochrane and Martha Little, on 26 November 1906.1 He died on 3 January 1950 at age 69 at Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland.1,2
     He gained the rank of Major in the 99th Deccan Infantry.1 He had three daughters.1
