     George Heriot was born circa June 1563 at Scotland.2 He was the son of George Heriot.2 He married, firstly, Christian Marjoribanks on 14 January 1586 at Scotland.2 He married, secondly, Alison Primrose, daughter of James Primrose and Sibylla Miller, on 24 August 1609.1 He died on 12 February 1623 at London, England.2
     He was founder of Heriot's Hospital.1 He was goldsmith to Queen Anne of Denmark, wife of King James VI of Scotland in 1597.1,2 He was goldsmith to King James VI of Scotland.2
