     Hester Frances Dames-Longworth was born on 12 May 1894 at Creggan, Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of Edward Travers Dames-Longworth and Hester Anne Pepys Cockerell.1 She married Lt.-Col. Thomas Hassard Montgomery, son of Alexander Shirley Montgomery, on 24 July 1915 at St. Anne's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 She died in 1954.1
     From 24 July 1915, her married name became Montgomery.1
