Dominick Sidney Browne was born on 31 March 1866.1 He was the son of Dominick Andrew Browne and Emily Louisa Hawkins.2 He married Elizabeth Naomi Dobell, daughter of Hon. Richard Reid Dobell, on 20 June 1895.1 He died on 4 April 1927 at age 61.1
Dominick Sidney Browne was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.).1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1 He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Mayo in 1896.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Mayo.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Mayo.1 He lived at Breaghwy, County Mayo, Ireland.1
