Dominick Andrew Browne was born on 30 June 1824.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. John Browne and Frances Jane Hawthorn.2 He married Emily Louisa Hawkins, daughter of John Sidney Hawkins, on 26 July 1864.1 He died on 9 September 1902 at age 78,.1
Dominick Andrew Browne was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Mayo.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Mayo.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Mayo in 1881.1 He lived at Breaghwy, County Mayo, Ireland.1
