     Sir Edward Denny was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Anthony Denny and Joan Champernowne.2 He married Margaret Edgcumbe, daughter of Pierce Edgcumbe.1 He died on 12 February 1599/0.1
     Sir Edward Denny held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liskeard in 1584.1 He was Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to Queen Elizabeth I.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tregony in 1587.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kerry in 1588.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1589.1 He served against the Earl of Desmond and the Irish and the Spaniards in Ireland and was granted 6,000 acres of Desmond's forfeited estates, including the town and the Earl's chief castle of Tralee.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.).1 He lived at Stortford Manor, Hertfordshire, England.1
