General John Francis Cradock, 1st Baron Howden of Howden and Grimston1

     General John Francis Cradock, 1st Baron Howden of Howden and Grimston was born on 11 August 1759 at Henrietta Street, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. John Cradock.1 He married Lady Theodosia Sarah Frances Meade, daughter of John Meade, 1st Earl of Clanwilliam and Theodosia Magill, on 17 November 1798. He died in July 1839 at age 79.
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)2 He held the office of Governor of the Cape Colony between 1811 and 1814.3 He was created 1st Baron Howden of Grimston and Spaldington and of Cradockstown, co. Kildare [Ireland] on 19 October 1819.1 He was created 1st Baron Howden of Howden and Grimston, co. Yorks [U.K.] on 10 September 1831.1

     Anne Louise Dalling was the daughter of General Sir John Dalling, Bt.1 She married General Hon. Robert Meade, son of John Meade, 1st Earl of Clanwilliam and Theodosia Magill, on 20 June 1808.1 She died on 18 March 1853.1
     Her married name became Meade.

     Lt.-Gen. John Meade was born circa 1774. He was the son of John Meade, 1st Earl of Clanwilliam and Theodosia Magill.2 He married Hon. Urania Caroline Ward, daughter of Hon. Edward Ward and Lady Arabella Crosbie, on 2 October 1816.1 He died on 6 August 1849.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General.1

     Venerable Hon. Pierce Meade was born on 21 November 1776.1 He was the son of John Meade, 1st Earl of Clanwilliam and Theodosia Magill.2 He married Elizabeth Percy, daughter of Rt. Rev. Thomas Percy and Anne Gutteridge, on 6 April 1801.1 He died on 22 November 1834 at age 58.1
     He held the office of Archdeacon of Dromore.1
