     General Sir Ivo Lucius Beresford Vesey was born on 11 August 1876.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. George Henry Vesey and Constance Marshall.1 He married Geraldine Foley, daughter of Vice-Admiral Francis John Foley and Frances Jane Blayne, on 28 January 1913.1 He died on 19 February 1975 at age 98.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was severely wounded, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was awarded the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Belgium.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1 He was Director of Organisation, War Office between 1919 and 1922.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1923.1 He was Director of Organisation and Staff Duties, Air Ministry between 1923 and 1929.1 He gained the rank of General in the Queen's Royal Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Air Vice Marshal.1 He was Commander of the 48th (South Midland) Division (Territorial Army) between 1930 and 1931.1 He was Director of Staff Duties, War Office between 1931 and 1934.1 He was General-Officer-Commanding of the Western Comand, India in 1935.1 He was General-Officer-Commanding of the Southern Comand, India between 1936 and 1937.1 He held the office of Chief of the General Staff, India between 1937 and 1939.1 He was Colonel of the The Queen's Regiemnt between 1939 and 1945.1

     Maj.-Gen. George Henry Vesey was born on 29 December 1824.1 He was the son of Reverend Hon. Arthur Vesey and Sydney Johnstone.1 He married Constance Marshall, daughter of George Marshall and Elizabeth Helen Gore, on 18 October 1866 at Croydon, London, England.1,2 He died on 29 January 1893 at age 68.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.1

     Harriet Alicia Sheffield Grace was the daughter of Sheffield Grace and Harriet Georgina Hamilton.1 She married Admiral Charles Vesey, son of Reverend Hon. Arthur Vesey and Sydney Johnstone, on 20 December 1860.1 She died on 10 October 1897, without issue.1
     Her married name became Vesey.

Sheffield Grace1

     Sheffield Grace was the son of Richard Grace and Jane Evans.2 He married Harriet Georgina Hamilton, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Hamilton, 1st Bt. and Emily Sophia Monck, on 29 June 1829.2 He died on 5 July 1850.2
     He was appointed Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.)1 He was a practising barrister-at-law.2 He lived at The Knole, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
