     Emma Johnson Brereton was the daughter of Arthur Brereton and Eliza Westropp.2 She married Reverend George Smithwick, son of Peter Smithwick, in 1826.3,4 She died on 11 February 1874 at Derry, County Derry, Ireland.4
     From 1826, her married name became Smithwick.1
