Henry John Stokes1

     Henry John Stokes was born on 29 May 1842 at 5 Merion Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was the son of William Stokes.2 He married Mary Anne MacDougall, daughter of William MacDougall and Elizabeth Watson.3 He died on 11 August 1920 at age 78 at 45 Raglan Road, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2
     He was in the Indian Civil Service.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)2 He lived at Howth, County Dublin, IrelandG.4

     Lilian Stokes was born on 13 August 1876 at India.2 She was the daughter of Henry John Stokes and Mary Anne MacDougall.2,3 She married John Boxwell, son of John Boxwell and Elizabeth Honoria Frances Stokes, on 19 January 1920.1 She died on 16 March 1955 at age 78 at Dublin North, County Dublin, Ireland.1
     From 19 January 1920, her married name became Boxwell.
