Captain Arthur FitzHenry Townsend was born on 19 May 1874.1 He was the son of Major Henry FitzJohn Townsend and Mary Caroline Bushe.2 He died in 1916, killed in action.1

Sylvia Rosalie Townsend was the daughter of Major Henry FitzJohn Townsend and Mary Caroline Bushe.2 She married Brig.-Gen. Edmond Howard Gorges on 3 July 1900.1 She and Brig.-Gen. Edmond Howard Gorges were divorced in 1921.3 She died in April 1935.1
