     Colonel Wilmot Edward Heriot-Maitland-Dougall was born on 1 December 1890.¹ He was the son of William Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Charlotte Isabella King.² He married, firstly, Mary Louisa Schreiber, daughter of Captain Arthur Schreiber, on 24 July 1930.¹ He married, secondly, Hilda Wardle, daughter of G. C. Wardle, on 20 October 1960.¹ He died in 1972.¹
