Sackville Tufton, 7th Earl of Thanet was born on 11 May 1688.1 He was the son of Colonel Sackville Tufton and Elizabeth Wilbraham.1 He married Lady Mary Saville, daughter of William Saville, 2nd Marquess of Halifax and Lady Mary Finch, on 11 June 1722.1 He died on 4 December 1753 at age 65.1
