     Mary Jones was the daughter of Reverend Evan Jones.² She married Edward Davies, son of David Davies, on 15 August 1877.¹ She died on 28 April 1888.¹
     From 15 August 1877, her married name became Davies.

     David Davies, 1st Baron Davies was born on 11 May 1880.³ He was the son of Edward Davies and Mary Jones.² He married, firstly, Amy Penman, daughter of L. T. Penman, in 1910.³ He married, secondly, Henrietta Margaret Fergusson, daughter of James Grant Fergusson, on 9 December 1922.³ He died on 16 June 1944 at age 64.³
     David Davies, 1st Baron Davies lived Llandinam.³ He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Montgomeryshire between 1906 and 1929.³ He was commander of the 14th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers between 1914 and 1916.³ He was chairman of Ocean Coal and Wilsons Ltd.³ He was a director of the Great-Western Railway.³ He was a director of Midland Bank.³ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).³ He was created 1st Baron Davies, 1st Baron Davies [U.K.] on 21 June 1932.³ He was invested as a Knight of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.).³ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.).¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Montgomeryshire.³

     Gwendoline Elizabeth Davies was the daughter of Edward Davies and Mary Jones.² She died on 3 July 1951, unmarried.¹
     They amassed an art collection including works by Cézanne, Corot, Daumier, Millet, Monet, Rodin, Turner and Van Gogh, that they left to the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff.¹ She was invested as a Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1937.¹

     Margaret Sidney Davies was the daughter of Edward Davies and Mary Jones.² She died in 1963, unmarried.¹

     David Michael Davies, 2nd Baron Davies was born on 16 January 1915.¹ He was the son of David Davies, 1st Baron Davies and Amy Penman.² He married Ruth Eldrydd Dugdale, daughter of Major William Marshall Dugdale, on 21 December 1939.¹ He died on 25 September 1944 at age 29 at North-West Europe, killed in action.¹
     David Michael Davies, 2nd Baron Davies graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Davies, 2nd Baron Davies [U.K., 1932] on 16 June 1944.¹

     Marguerite Elizabeth Davies was born on 26 April 1917.¹ She was the daughter of David Davies, 1st Baron Davies and Amy Penman.² She died on 18 December 1930 at age 13.¹

     Hon. Edward David Grant Davies was born on 30 January 1925.¹ He was the son of David Davies, 1st Baron Davies and Henrietta Margaret Fergusson.² He married, firstly, Patricia Musto, daughter of Clifford Roberts Musto, on 12 March 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Shirley Harrison, daughter of Le Greur Harrison, on 12 September 1975.¹ He died on 26 October 1997 at age 72.¹
