     Ruth Eldrydd Dugdale was the daughter of Major William Marshall Dugdale.2 She married David Michael Davies, 2nd Baron Davies, son of David Davies, 1st Baron Davies and Amy Penman, on 21 December 1939.1 She died on 22 July 1966.1
     She was invested as a Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.).1 From 21 December 1939, her married name became Davies. As a result of her marriage, Ruth Eldrydd Dugdale was styled as Baroness Davies on 16 June 1944.
