     Sir Edward Hay Drummond-Hay was born on 4 March 1815.3 He was the son of Edward William Auriol Drummond-Hay and Louisa Margaret Thomson.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Laura Livingston, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Livingston, on 1 September 1838.3 He married Alice Watts, daughter of Edward Watts, on 27 January 1869.1 He died on 24 January 1884 at age 68.1
     Sir Edward Hay Drummond-Hay was Colonial Governor between 1839 and 1862.3 He lived at South Hill, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England.3
