     Hugh Somerville, 8th Lord Somerville was born circa 1573.2 He was the son of Hugh Somerville, 6th Lord Somerville and Eleanor Seton.3 He married Margaret Hamilton, daughter of Gavin Hamilton, 7th of Raploch and Jean Dishington, in August 1594.2 He died in April 1640.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Lord Somerville [S., 1444] in 1618.3
