Frederick Temple Rowan Rowan-Hamilton was born on 17 July 1850.1 He was the son of Archibald Rowan Rowan-Hamilton and Catherine Anne Caldwell.2 He married Blanche Mary Fellowes-Gordon, daughter of Rear-Admiral William Abdy Fellowes-Gordon, on 26 April 1883.1 He died on 9 February 1941 at age 90,.1
     Lt.-Col. Frederick Temple Rowan Rowan-Hamilton was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland (Lord Spencer).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the l9th (East Norfolk) Regiment.1 He was Comptroller to Lord Dufferin in Canada and India.1

     Phyllis Frances Blackburn is the daughter of Hon. Robert Francis Leslie Blackburn, Lord Blackburn and Lady Constance Frances Bowes-Lyon.2,1 She married Brigadier Gawain Basil Rowan-Hamilton, son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Temple Rowan Rowan-Hamilton and Blanche Mary Fellowes-Gordon, on 5 October 1916.1
     From 5 October 1916, her married name became Rowan-Hamilton. She was with the First Aide Nursing Yeomanry and APM Military Police during the Second World War.1 She lived in 1976 at Tullymacnowes House, Toye, Killyleagh, County Down, Ireland.1
