     Mary Charlotte Elizabeth Le Fanu was born on 28 December 1857.1 She was the daughter of Peter Le Fanu and Maria Alexandrina Cruikshank.2,1 She married David Robert Babington, son of Reverend Hume Babington, on 12 November 1878.1 She died on 17 May 1902 at age 44.1
     Mary Charlotte Elizabeth Le Fanu also went by the nick-name of Dolly.1 From 12 November 1878, her married name became Babington.1
