     Peter Gerard Scrope Fane was born on 1 April 1921.1 He was the son of Gerard William Reginald Fane and Constance Rhoda Elizabeth Bacon.2 He married, firstly, Cecilie Kirsten Nansen, daughter of Einar Walter Nansen, on 20 December 1948.1 He and Cecilie Kirsten Nansen were divorced in 1955.1 He married, secondly, Juliet Edwards, daughter of Brigadier George Maitland Edwards, on 1 June 1961.1 He and Juliet Edwards were divorced in 1962.1 He married, thirdly, Anne Barclay Gamble, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Gamble, on 27 November 1963.1 He died on 3 September 1977 at age 56.1
