     Susan Hester Hamlyn-Williams was born on 1 January 1824 at Filleigh, Devon, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Sir James Hamlyn-Williams, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Fortescue.2 She married Colonel Henry Edward Hamlyn-Fane, son of Reverend Edward Fane and Maria Hodges, on 9 April 1850.1 She died on 19 May 1869 at age 45 at Clovelly Court, Devon, EnglandG.2 She was buried at Clovelly, Devon, EnglandG.2
     From 9 April 1850, her married name became Fane.2 From 1861, her married name became Hamlyn-Fane.1
