David Gordon Allen d'Aldecamb Lumsden of Cushnie was born on 25 May 1933 at Quetta, Baluchistan, Pakistan.3,4 He was the son of Major Henry Gordon Strange Lumsden and Sydney Mary Elliott.2 He died on 29 August 2008 at age 75.4
David Gordon Allen d'Aldecamb Lumsden of Cushnie was educated at Allhallows School, Devon, England.3 He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.3 He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).3 He was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Office on 1 March 1972.3 He was decorated with the award of Knight of Justice, Sovereign Military Order of Constantine St. George in 1978.3 He was decorated with the award of Knight of Honour and Devotion, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1980.3 He contributed to the book The Muster Roll of Prince Charles Edward's Army, published 1984.3 He was invested as a Fellow, Society of Antiquaries Scotland (F.S.A.Scot.) in 1984.3 He held the office of Gairioch Pursuivant of Arms in 1986.3 He was decorated with the award of Knight, Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus in 1998.3 He lived in 2003 at Hamilton House, West Loan, Prestonpans, Haddington, Scotland.3
