     Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon was born on 19 June 1728.1 He was the son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart.1 He married Clementina Lockhart, daughter of George Lockhart, 3rd of Carnwath and Fergusia Wishart, on 18 May 1761.1 He died on 30 October 1778 at age 50 at Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland.1,2
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 6 September 1777 in the service of the 81st Regiment.1

     Clementina Lockhart was the daughter of George Lockhart, 3rd of Carnwath and Fergusia Wishart.1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon, son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart, on 18 May 1761.1 She died on 31 March 1803.1 She was buried on 6 April 1803 at Restalrig, Midlothian, Scotland.3
     From 18 May 1761, her married name became Gordon.1

Catherine Wallop, daughter of John Wallop, Viscount Lymington and Catherine Conduitt, on 3 October 1770.1 He died on 24 March 1788 at Calcutta, India.1,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.2 He held the office of Judge-Advocate General [Bengal] in 1787.1,3
