Sir Richard de Grey1

     Sir Richard de Grey was born circa 1281.1 He was the son of Sir Henry de Grey and Eleanor de Courtenay.2 He married Joan FitzPayn, daughter of Robert FitzPayn, 1st Lord FitzPayn.1 He died circa 10 March 1334/35.1
     From 4 March 1308/9 to 23 February 1334/35 called to Parlialment but under the more rigorous rules of evidence required today the lack of proof of an actual sitting has been held to militate against the ascription of an actual peerage creation.1 In 1321 he was pardoned for any action of his hostile to King Edward II's favourites, the Despensers.1 He held the office of Steward of Gascony in 1324.1 He held the office of Constable of Nottingham Castle between 1325 and 1330.1
