Very Rev. John Maunsell Massy-Beresford was born on 26 September 1823.1 He was the son of Hon. John Massy and Maria Maunsell.2 He married Emily Sarah Beresford, daughter of Reverend John Isaac Beresford and Sophia White, on 6 May 1851.1 He died on 22 October 1886 at age 63.3
Very Rev. John Maunsell Massy-Beresford was baptised with the name of John Maunsell Massy.3 He held the office of Dean of Kilmore.1 On 1871 his name was legally changed to John Maunsell Massy-Beresford by Royal Licence.3 He lived at Macbie Hill, Peebles-shire, Scotland.1 He lived at St. Hubert's, County Fermanagh, Ireland.1

Hon. John Massy is the son of Hugh Massy, 2nd Baron Massy of Duntrileague and Catherine Taylor.2 He married Maria Maunsell, daughter of Robert Maunsell, on 16 June 1817.1 He died on 8 July 1869.3
