     James Drummond Pringle was born on 12 April 1906.¹ He was the son of Sir Norman Robert Pringle of Stichill, 8th Bt. and Florence Madge Vaughan.² He married, firstly, Nina Beryl Trutwein, daughter of P. W. Trutwein, in 1932.¹ He and Nina Beryl Trutwein were divorced in 1946.¹ He married, secondly, Pauline Smith in July 1947.¹ He died in 1960.¹

     Nina Beryl Trutwein was the daughter of P. W. Trutwein.² She married James Drummond Pringle, son of Sir Norman Robert Pringle of Stichill, 8th Bt. and Florence Madge Vaughan, in 1932.¹ She and James Drummond Pringle were divorced in 1946.¹ She died in 1988.¹
