     Maj.-Gen. Alexander Jardine was born on 2 October 1803.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 6th Bt. and Janet Dorcas Maule.2 He married Eliza Curtis, daughter of Charles Curtis, in 1830.1 He died on 23 June 1869 at age 65.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the 75th Regiment.1

     Eliza Curtis was the daughter of Charles Curtis.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Alexander Jardine, son of Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 6th Bt. and Janet Dorcas Maule, in 1830.1 She died on 14 March 1870.1
      From 1830, her married name became Jardine.1

     John Jardine was born on 5 March 1807 at Dumfries-shire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Jardine of Applegirth, 6th Bt. and Janet Dorcas Maule.3 He married Elizabeth Jane Craig, daughter of Captain William Henry Craig and Jane McGill, on 22 August 1837.1 He died on 27 February 1874 at age 66 at Soneleigh, Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.1,2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 1st Royals.1 He was Police Magistrate at Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.2 He was Commissioner of the Goldfields in 1859 at Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.1,2

     He gained the rank of First World War in the service of the with the Australian Imperial Forces, where he was wounded.1 He was in the pearling industry.3
