     Isabel Elphinstone is the daughter of William Elphinstone of Calderhaugh.1 She married Andrew Houstoun of Calderhall, son of Andrew Houstoun of Gartland and Jean Macdowell, on 5 October 1694.1

     Andrew Houstoun of Calderhaugh was born on 25 December 1702.1 He was the son of Andrew Houstoun of Calderhall and Isabel Elphinstone.2 He married Nellie Waddell.1 He died on 28 July 1786 at age 83.1

General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt.1

     General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt. was born on 10 August 1766.1 He was the son of Andrew Houstoun of Calderhaugh and Nellie Waddell.2 He married Lady Jane Maitland, daughter of James Maitland, 7th Earl of Lauderdale and Mary Turner Lombe, on 5 November 1808.1 He died on 8 April 1842 at age 75.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 20th Regiment.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K.] on 19 July 1836.1

     Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. was born on 4 October 1809.1 He was the son of General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt. and Lady Jane Maitland.2 He married Euphemia Boswall, daughter of Thomas Boswall of Blackadder, on 22 February 1847.1 He died on 8 January 1886 at age 76.1
     He was given the name of George Augustus Frederick Houstoun at birth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K., 1836] on 8 April 1842.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berwickshire.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.1

     Euphemia Boswall was the daughter of Thomas Boswall of Blackadder.1 She married Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt., son of General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt. and Lady Jane Maitland, on 22 February 1847.1 She died on 29 December 1882.1

     Sir George Lauderdale Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 3rd Bt. was born on 11 December 1847.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall.2 He married Phoebe Allan, daughter of Sir Hugh Allan, on 1 March 1877.1 He died on 8 February 1908 at age 60.1
     He was Convenor of the Berwickshire County Council.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K., 1836] on 8 January 1886.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berwickshire.1

     From 1 March 1877, her married name became Houstoun-Boswall.1
