Sir Thomas Randolph Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 5th Bt. was born on 5 February 1882.1 He was the son of Sir George Lauderdale Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 3rd Bt. and Phoebe Allan.2 He married Edith Mary Salter, daughter of Jarvis Salter, on 8 February 1912.1 He died on 4 December 1953 at age 71.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 14th Service Battalion, Royal Scots, formerly 3rd Battalion.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K., 1836] on 27 September 1915.1
