     Major Arthur Toward Watson was the son of Henry William Watson.2 He married Mabel Virginia Cunliffe, daughter of Ellis Brooke Cunliffe and Emma Florence Sparling, on 18 February 1901.1 He died on 15 August 1917, from wounds received in action the same day.1
     He lived at Bishopthorpe Garth, York, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He lived at Burnopfield, County Durham, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1
