     Captain William Noel Cunliffe was born on 25 December 1877.3 He was the son of Ellis Brooke Cunliffe and Emma Florence Sparling.1,2 He married Nellie Phyllis Aird, daughter of Major Sir John Aird, 2nd Bt. and Alicia Ellen Renton, on 12 July 1910.1 He died on 30 July 1933 at age 55.1
     Captain William Noel Cunliffe gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Shropshire Light Infantry.3 He was District Officer, Remount Depot.3

     Ellis Brooke Cunliffe was born on 6 July 1832.1 He is the son of Ellis Watkin Cunliffe and Caroline Kingston.2 He married Emma Florence Sparling, daughter of Reverend John Sparling, on 17 July 1867.1 He died on 4 March 1915 at age 82.1
     Ellis Brooke Cunliffe gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 6th Dragoons.1 He lived at Petton Park, Shropshire, England.1
