Sir Robert Richardson of Smeaton, 7th Bt. was the son of Sir William Richardson of Smeaton, 6th Bt. and Eleanor Hilton.2 He died in 1752, without issue.1
Sir Robert Richardson of Smeaton, 7th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Richardson, of Pitfour Castle, co. Perth [N.S., 1630] on 4 April 1747.1 On his death, his baronetcy once more became dormant, remaining so until 1782.1
