Sir Edward Harry Macnaghten, 6th Bt. was born on 12 February 1896.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Charles Macnaghten, 5th Bt. and Edith Minnie Powell.1 He died on 1 July 1916 at age 20, reported missing in action, believed killed.1
Sir Edward Harry Macnaghten, 6th Bt. gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Highlanders (The Black Watch), attached to the 12th Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Macnaghten, of Dundarvie, co. Antrim [U.K., 1836] on 31 December 1914.1
